    Default Advice On Reliance WIMAX

    Hi guys,
    I stay at malad,mumbai and planning to shift from TATA DSL to Reliance WIMAX.I needed your advice on how is this connection. I am planning to go for 400Kbps unlimited plan.I also need to know ki what download speed i'll get. Reliance Sales agent told me that WIMAX has a 1:4 ratio so i'll be getting 100Kbps ka download speed any time...
    Need your advice on this one as i want to change ISP soon..

    Many Reliance WiMAX are present in the board and all of them have reported good QOS with the service. Try to find out the nearest neighbor who is using the service and ask for his advice too regarding the connection. The service QOS varies in between the states too.

    i agree with cool techie, ask ur neighbours, ur collegues etc, and then change then ISP.

    In delhi the reliance wimax is good and works like a charm.

    Angry Reliance wimax

    Dear All,

    It is almost over a month when I applied Reliance wimax through their agent in Mumbai ( Tel no. of the agent is 022-65151565 ) and they promised me that they will install within 7 days but even after 30 days they are replying the same word and I do not know when they will install wimax at my home. I am suffering the huge loss of my business because of this. I feel that the Reliance people have very bad service and I will suggest everyone that please do not pay any advance to these agents and pay only after installation. My money is stuck in this booking and also I couldnt book through any other service provider. I have never seen such a poor service like Reliance Wimax before.

    Usually the agents screw it all up in the name of sales and forget the word service that comes with it. Had the same issue like this gentlemen above me, but once the connection was installed, there was no hassle. The connection worked like a charm even with my linksys g2 router and no outage since the time of connection (oct 07). There was never a time that the reliance guys capped my connection. No issues with billing either. Dont know about their tech support but wouldn't expect much since majority of the good workforce is always outsourced to international ISP.

    Please do not book relaince wimax as they are only collecting money and then disapear. So many people are just calling them every day and they have no reply when it will be installed.

    Have u reported these persons to Reliance? What was their reply?

    better to check reliance towers near ur home which are GRAY in color and reliance printed on them near the tower i.e 1/2 km will give u good speed near my home there are 2 towers but i opted for wired broadnet because i use VOIP pc to phone i tried voip on wimax at reliance vendor in mayapuri delhi calls were dropping etc but surfing and downloading is fine because they have blocked some ports that are needed for voip in WIMAX and also ping time to voip server are also very high so that's why i have not chosen wimax

    Has reliance started printing their towers. I am yet to see any printed towers of Reliance in Trivandrum city. We are left at the mercy of the customer care, who will tell us the nearby tower details.

    in new delhi area u can easily spot a reliance tower which is different in shape and size than regular red&white towers its gray in color if u see closely "reliance mobile" is printed on tower white vertical transmitters,i will post the pic of reliance tower soon

    They (Vrushabh) are the the sales agents, contact the reliance guys,i m sure they will definately help you.

    Default Check before Applying for Reliance Connection

    Have applied for Reliance Wimax? The agent before taking money, will actually fill a form or shows that form in your presence.

    If that did not happen then that could be the problem. IT is easy to cheat people nowadays in disguise of these agents. So always depend on checks if you value even 500 rupees.

    I used check to apply for. I also noticed the form in my presence.

    Once you get the connection you will not regret even losing five hundred rupees another time. So you should try once again for another 500 rupees. Try with cheque. Chances of losing will be less with cheques. Get the connection that will be enough.

    i had the same problem but i mailed all the details to reliance cust care as well as their outsourced sales agency ......and they called the next day and installed the wimax connection........

    I am using Reliance Wimax in Ahmedabad since last 4 months. Totally satisfied. Regarding speed.... I had 600kpbs unlimited and I was getting around 60KBps ..I switched to 1mbps unlimited and I am getting 115KBps... so the Agent is simply lying.... rough ration is 1:8 and not 1:4.

    My personal experience is very good...A really satisfied customer of reliance..
