Thread: Downloads are interrupted after a while. Any Idea?

Hey All,

I am using reliance wimax - 400 KBPS unlimited plan currently. I have a weird issue. The connectivity in my area is fine, i mean the signal strength etc. So, the browsing is fine basically.

I have a serious issue with my downloads. I usually queue up files every night for downloads (either torrents or rapidshare, usind IDM). These files do not get downloaded after a while, i mean like 30mins or an hour. When i browse something in parallel, they do, but if i leave the system idle and the downloads ON, they get interrupted and wont continue.

Is these something with wimax that the dynamic IP expries after sometime if there are no http requests (assuming downloads cant be considered as requests)??

Can some one help me? Is this problem pertaining to reliance wimax or is it a wimax/dynamic ip issue which happens with every other ISP?

can u specify what kind of dld u do...

Check if the system is set to stanby or sleep after 30 min under display properties.
