    Post Cheating when cancelling service

I requested for cancellation of service on 3rd August 2009, I have received about 5-7calls from retention team till today which is 7th--No news about cancellation. When I called CC of reliance today, they informed me cancellation takes around 15 days time and they informed I need to pay the bill till the cancellation is done, need a clarity here : Do i need to pay for the service when i already requested for cancellation?? Note: I havent used their service after I requested for cancellation, They also informed theuy will return my advance or so called security deposit only after 60working daz and they are not even sure how much money will be returned to me. When i requested for terms and conditions of cancellation they rudely declined by saying they dont have any written documentation what ever customer care teams states would be taken as terms and conditions

Please let me know whether i can take this to Consumer court/ let me know how to proceed from here.

If there is an arbitrary charge, you can take them to court.

As said by just4kix, this is arbitrary charge and this is illigal.

Do you have the written letter which you gave at the time of cancellationof the service, accepted by them ?
If so then you need not pay a single penny after 24 hrs of the acception.

Default Hi -- > thanks for your replies

Actually they dont provide any written documentation, however they have provided me with a cancellation request number on 3rd and also they dont have any terms and conditions for cancellation. To have written documentation am communicatin using only E-mails. They have wrtten to me that the service is supposed to be cancelled within 7days, however till date my service is active, when ever i ask them to let me know final bill(after reducing the advance i paid) they always reply stating "revert back after your service is terminated" even after repeatedly informing them that my modem and wimax dish has been taken back a week ago they keep sayin revert back after your service is terminated.

realiance is one of the most dubious and disgusting service provider. Last year i had reliance's netconnect card and i asked them to disconnect my services they took 400 Rs from me to disconnect it. wtf man.. money for disconnection. I wasnt aware that this aint legal at that time. So i payed. but even at that time the money i paid pinched me dearly.
