    Default Reliance WiMax Connection Tricks

For all those who have a reliance wimax broadband connection, try the following out:

    1) go to
start > control panel > network connections > then goto properties of the local area connection (ur lan card properties) > click on internet protocol (tcp/ip) > properties > and set the static ip 192.168.1.22 in use the following ip address dialog box.

    2) now start ur lan connection, by right click on it and select enable.

    3) now go to
start > run > cmd [press ok]

    4) now type there
c:\> telnet 192.168.1.1 if it fails then telnet 192.168.0.1

    now u should have shell,

    asking for
    username and password.,
    enter
    username : support
    password : support

    5) now u have access to the wimax antenna via telnet then type

    sh bs[hit enter]

it will show u something useful data,

    like signal strength and frequency,

so move ur antenna if u getting weak signal slightly,
    and again type

    sh bs

u will notice some changes their, do this procedure till u get high signal,

each time u move your antenna give again command sh bs [enter]

tell me what happens,at your side.,

also after all this done again set all to your original conditions.

Before doing this you should create a restore point of your computer, just in case something goes wrong, you can easily recover your work

Mention the present modem ( supplied by Reliance) you use to connect to Internet /
Is it a wimax connection or Landline based adsl connection?
    or Netconnect ? ( usbmodem)
Ar800v3 can be used only as a switch for Wimax.
    Clarify in this thread.

Please see this thread. for photo etc.
http://www.indiabroadband.net/tata-w...onnection.html (How to connect to beetel450TC1 router with tata wimax connection)

A stand alone WIFI router with WAN/Input port preferred.
    3-in 1 models ( adsl+4lanport+wifi ) used mainly as a switch.
There is no input to the unit with rj11 cable.
It is presumed the wireless settings , same for any type
    ( adsl/wimax /cable Rj45 ) search the WAN settings for signal input.
    'DynamicIP ( In wifi routers)
or "Bridged" or "Mer" ( same as bridged") option can be tried.

    Feedback.

Try connect rj45 ( data cable )from wimax toLAN1 of router.
    LAN2 to computer.
Check connecting to Internet or not. ( Log in if needed )

This model is used only as a switch.
In WAN page select "bridged " Selecting PPPoE and entering StaticIP

in WAN page may also work

    Get details from ipconfig /all
    ipv4 adddress : desktop/laptop
    subnet : ......
    Gateway .........wimax IP.

    feedback.
PS: a standalone WIFI router works. connection to WAn port and select Dynamic Ip or auto dhcp mode.

I think first step start > control panel > network connections > then goto properties of the local area connection (ur lan card properties) > click on internet protocol (tcp/ip) > properties > and set the static ip 192.168.1.22 in use the following ip address dialog box.thanks for sharing the information.
