Thread: Applied for Rel WiMax 1536 Kbps - very excited to start

As the title says , i just applied for the WiMax 1536 Kbps plan today.I am going to pay by quaterly.So, that would cost me 8041/- every 3 months.So, i will have to pay 8041/- 4 times in a year totaling Rs. 32164/-.So as i am paying for their highest priced plan , it better be good if not best.

What i had to pay at the time of CAF signing is :- 3 Months Advanced rental+500 Installation+10.3% service Tax = 8592 Rupees.And i will have to pay 8041/- ( 7290+10.3% ) 4 times in a year.So, i seriously do hope it works wonders for me.I seriously wanted to get rid of my BSNL UL750 for frequent Disconnections.

I know there are lots of negative publicity going on several Indian Broadband forums about Rel WiMax but i still think that it will be good for me because i think most of the satisfied customers will never show up in the forums praising the connection & we will only have customers who are suffering because they need to show their " BHARAS " in these communities.I can feel their pain but believe what , if you are unsatisfied , you can always switch to other ISP or to a wired connection if that is available in your place.Or you can go with the BSNL WiMax also.I know their wired connection just sucks but their WiMax is way better than their wired connections.So, i think you have an alternate if you are not happy.

Any guys here from Kolkata ? I want to know your opinion about Rel WiMax if you are using one.

I have the same plan.. no problems since the past 4~5 months since the time the plan was activated.

Yeah don't know why so many people just hate Reliance when they are undoubtedly the best ISP in India.I'm using both of their WiMax & the Netconnect Broadband + & there were no disconnections in either connections.you just need to stay in the coverage area for NC+ & within the reach of the Reliance BTS Tower in case of WiMax.That's all.
