i applied for the connection on 13th may. the sales person collected the docs and cheque and vanished. after 13/14 days two guys came to my place and installed the antenna etc. then they told me that reliance ppl will call me up and give me the static ip details within two days and then i will be able to use the connection. there was no call from reliance for 7 days , then i called the sales guy again and then he told me that it will take another 2/3 days to get the ip address. when i called up customer care they told me that they did not have any details about my connection and suggested i call up the sales coordinator on . no body picks up the phone on this no.
i called up the sales guy again and after much shouting and arguments he gave me the number of his boss and pleaded not tell him that i collected the number from him. after calling the boss he assured me that somebody from the technical dept will call me up. again after waiting for 1/2 days suddenly a received a call from a guy who told me that he is calling from reliance tech dept and gave me my static ip address and dns details. when i asked him what is my subscriber id he told me that he has no idea about it. i configured the pc with the given ip address etc and lo the net started working and i was able to surf.

The connection speed is good. not faced any upload issues yet. Using 300kbps flat fee plan

but i still dont know my subscriber id etc. after talking to customer care(?) they say they cant help me or register any complain until i tell them my subscriber id. but no body from reliance has ever provided me any subscriber id. so i am a subscriber of reliance without an id i have mailed to broadband@relianceada.com several times and every time they write back that someone will be in touch with me very soon.

Buddy they shud have provided you with a copy of the registration form. on it are all numbers. Also i don't have any idea how u are able to use the net without logging in... as logging in also requires the subscriber id. So u dint get any kind of a written receipt whatsoever??

The first time login requires subscribe ID or the user id
that is the ID

also when the installation is complete the engg will give you a form and that form will have all the details

as u hv static ip plan it does not require authentication...& they dont provide subscriber id in this plans. otherwise ask for customer account no. reliance ppl call it CAN. u can find CAN on ur bill. In reliance system CAN is the most imp no. they will be able to find all ur detail if u provide them this no.

at last i received a call from reliance ho mumbai. they provided me the user id and other relevant details like CAN and BAN. I do not require to log in to surf. they told me that the plans with static ip do not require to log in with user id. any way the connection is working fine and i have not faced any disconnection yet.

biggest plus point of reliance wimax is it is connection. No disconnection. Using since last 3 months not a SINGLE diconnection. rock solid. speed never a issue. my bsnl connection now & than hv speed issues but never reliance.

only thing they hv to improve is their CC & mentality. U can expect a call for bill payment but never for support issue.
