Thumbs up Good connectivity

Hi All,

This is my first post to this site,
I have a reliance wimax connection which i am using since one month, before booking this connection i have gone through different sites to check the reviews about Reliance Wimax. Reviews were scary indeed but i had no choice but to opt for this one coz was fed up with my previous connection from Tata Indicom and Airtel was not available in my area. I am using this reliance connection and its really good so far. Downloading songs and some course materials with ease@ 25-30KBPS. I am on 300Kbps@999 plan.
I would like to mention one thing here that the installation guys of RWimax are not that competent they took about six hours to install the connection after making bulk call to their senior. I am still to face the CC of Reliance Wimax hope this never comes.

I can conclude here that may be i am one of the lucky ones but this Wimax thingy is worth a try for sure, if you cannot get airtel.

Regards,
Ved

It is not that they are nt competent. They must b searching for the signal, and from which direction they get the best signal strength. Sometimes if Reliance cell site tower is in Line of Sight (LoS) than things becomes very easy from them & job is done in 30 min flat, otherwise it takes hours. U shud b grateful that they spend 6 hours to search the signal or some installation team will just declare ur place NON FEASIBLE after some efforts.

I dont think the issue was with antena becoz they fix it within 30mins or 45 mins, the problem was with the port they use to attach that cable to system and antenna they done it thrice in fact...cutting the cable and punching even now i can give it try after seeing them the lappy they carrying with them was a garbage and caused problem now n then. Paper work they done was very time taking. they have taken around two hrs to talk to someone to submit the details of my ip, subnet, parametet etc.. because the server other side was down....

Yes i am very thankful to them and expressed the same to them as well...i was a needy coz internet is vimp for me.

So far so good, i have downloaded around 300MB of data@ 45-50KBps though i m on 300 kbps. this is the best download speed i have ever get

As far as my knowledge goes wat a dwnld manager does is it opens multiple ports (4 or 6) on the server from which u r dwnlding the file as if there as many requests for that file from diff. users. It breaks the file in 4-6 parts & it starts dwnlding & when done it joins that file in ur machine. Flashget is freeware y dont u try for urself & see the diff.
