Default no VOIP

Hi Kranthi,

I too tried to do the same but was unsuccessful.
You need to authenticate through reliance web-page for connecting to internet.
This creates a problem for your Vonage .
Vonage can be configured for static,DHCP and PPPOE conections
But reliance does not completely belong to any of them.
Even it offers dynamic IP , authentication is needed through web-page.

You can ask reliance to remove the authentication. but I was not sure this can be done. Authentication will be removed only to certain plans.Please check with your customer care.

SME plan 300kbps with static IP...that shud work for u. but will cost u 1500 pm + ST.
I think even if u take static ip in ur existing plan by paying 2000 bucks u will hv to authenticate thro browser. chk with their cc.

As far as I know with Reliance you will have to login using a computer to get connected, thre might be some way out which our senior members can share their views on.

who posted his problem almost a year back.!!!
(4th June 2008)
I think , may be, he has gone to U.S by now !!!!!

@moderator: Sorry for responding to old thread.

=================================
@kranthi
Ensure, you connect to Internet with the
adsl modem.
Enable DHCP in the modem and give range say 192.168.1.3 to 192.168.1.20
De select "Bridged" mode and select ppp/PPPoE Always On connection in the modem.

Confirm
Now remove the Rj45 from computer end and connect to your
Vonage unit VDV21_VD or similar
Power up
( Blue cable from modem )
Wait for all three icons to appear in this order
GLOBE Monitor Telephone 1
If error 04 shown in LCD sreen follow instructions.
More===>>>"Gyan" on feedback
Presume you got a U.S Vonage telephone number.

The very purpose of the forum is defeated, if
all members contact on private email addresses.
You could send PM to him, if you want to help him,
( without others knowing the "secret" !))

Avoid posting email IDs cellphone numbers to avoid spam. Delete in your post , if you wish.

Share your knowledge for benefit of other members
who may access this thread at a later date.
Anyway I have noted your email address, if need arises( as a Vonage user for more than 9 months without any problem/s.)

Default You can enable autologin to Reliance Wimax

I have picked up this curl tool from some other forum. I have been using this since few months and no issues. My VOIP works just fine even when my computer is turned off.

- See the attachment for the tool.
- You need to extract the zip file to your computer local desktop and edit the file curl1.bat and enter your username and password.
- Create shortcut for curl1.bat and save on desktop.
- Just run the curl1.bat and the login will be enabled.
- Login will be valid even if you shutdown your computer.
- That way VOIP can work easily.

Hope it helps.
