Rep Power: 0 | I have been using it since last about 2 weeks. I am completely satisfied with the performace. Speed, Stability bothwise. Getting 230kBps DL Speed in 2mbps plan. Which i think is the maximum one can get. People are complaining about Reliance, I have read posts. But it all depends on the quality of your connectivity a.k.a signals. Wimax operates on radio frequency, so if your dish is within good range of reliance mobile tower and you are getting good connectivity signals, you should not have any problem. Advantage of Wimax is once your connectivity with the tower is set with good parameters, it works rock solid and will only go down if that tower of reliance mobile goes down, which is very rare. Anyways, my experience, so far, is totally positive. Only complaint is about religious disconnection after about 8 hrs. or so. |

Rep Power: 1 | i don't see any good news out of a big lot i find few ppl who are happy about reliance but i agree that it all depends on the signal, if the signal is good then you are good I moved from reliance wimax to tata wimax and seen lot of complains about tata wimax, but i have not see much issues as i am near one of the towers in wimax technology we cannot say that the connection is good or not untill you use it customer care is pathetic in both the cases ![]() |

Rep Power: 1 | I agree with amins123. I am using reliance wimax since three & half months. NOT A SINGLE DISCONNECTION.. Rock solid connection & consistent speed. i think this is the reason lot of corporates are going for RF based lease line, bcoz of the reliability factor. As far as Banglore is concerned reliance is facing big time problems in wireless BB. Lots of connection getting surrendered. So u r rite gardenboy abt ur experince, but I have a diff. story. BTW Admin....u will hv to change the forum name of Reliance Wimax to Reliance Wirefree as reliance does not advt. it as Wimax. Even their leaflets say "the joy of wirefree broadband now in your home." Not a single word of Wimax in the whole 4 page leaflet. |

Rep Power: 0 | What Ever!! Reliance Wimax Sucks. I am using it currentry(1mbps Unlimited) with cinr 26 and rssi 64 and thats very good stats but reliance upload speed problem is present. That is because of my BTS is at fault and if i fore select the bts using "configure home-zone sector" to other bts i get good speed . I am waiting for vsnl wimax and will shift to vsnl as soon as it roll out because vsnl is testing and doing their homework before rolling out.. RELIANCE SUCKS!!!!!! |

VSNL has rolled out their wimax about a year ago and there are thousands of ppl using it. As you know VSNL is taken over by Tata indicom so the vsnl wimax is sold as tata wimax i also moved form reliance wimax to tata wimax and happy about it | |
