You can get your own router reliance has got nothing to do with what you use and what you dont.

Sharing your connection with your padosi is illegal.

I also used to believe that it is illegal.
But now, if Reliance itself is going to put router (and charge me in the bill for its rental, if i go for their router), how can it become illegal?

Using a router is not illegal. That wireless router is for sharing the connection inside the premises not your padosi's house as well.

I have used the reliance wimax 400 kbps unlimited plan. It gave me regular download speeds of 45-47 kbps.

Make sure that you have a reliance wimax tower in visible range where the antenna will be put.The connection will work good if you have a tower closeby.I faced some downtime problems, but a renew IP or a restart more or less solved it everytime.

    • HI , I am Using Rel Wimax Since 3month's and it's working To gud Touch wood , it is very rare to be any prob or if Than It Would Be Resolve In few Hour's. I went for MTNl with 599 Special offered But D.S.A.S.T.E.R in 4days i have disconnected this MTNL with The payment of 400 in just 3 day's.
Back To Wi Max . This Net is working and very comfortable acc. to me coz i use to work almost 20 hour's/day & i have very good Experience in Internet. Apart From this I Have just Received a Bill Where i have seen on Front "Enjoy Unlimited Night Surfing @ Speed up to 2MBPs at attractive rate, with Reliance Broadband. Also Get Free usage During the day" But when I called in CC They Do not have any Updation till now So I am Curious about this plan

Hope This Exp. Will help You

I have used the Airtel 512 kbps unlimited and loved it ,used it for 2 yrs without any downtime(except once when the whole line was down major international cable breakdown in the Mediterranean sea)other than this no problems what so ever.........but now i shifted to a place where no Airtel network exists...therefore i had 3 choices BSNL,Reliance and Tata Indicom.Because of the wait time and formalities for a BSNL connection ,i went for Reliance (worst decision of my life ever),pathetic is an under estimate

    Default Airtel and rel wimax

Airtel is very expensive company and they have limited services include Mobile operator, that is why Airtel is not exist there. REl wimax acc. to me is best of service i have seen ALSO never have connectivity problem. i have 400KBPS plan in just 999. SO make yourself prepare whatever you will choose

I can voich for reliance. The only thing that's bugged me about them is their 3 layer customer service system. It takes too bloddy long to get an engineer over to my place, unless I'm lucky enough to have a total internet failure, in which case, the place a *slight* priority on my case.

I don't think Airtel is much expensive than Reliance.....i was using 512 kbps unlimited from Airtel for 1499 ,i used to get a download speed of 70-80 kpbs

Now im using Reliance wimax 400kbps for 999 and the download speed is only 30-40 kbps , so i wouldn't say that Airtel is way damn expensive ,besides their After sales service is outstanding .

Same story here. I used to be on the 300 kbps@999 plan. I asked to be upgraded. The speed change never happened.

Airtel IS expensive, they are charging 1499 for 512kbps where as reliance is 1399 for 600kbps. Price is lower & speed is more.
Go for that plan & u will get 60-70KBps speed. Cant doubt abt Airtel service, they are way ahead in the whole lot.

I use reliance wimax in nerul, navi mumbai and its absolutely beastly..I get almost 100% connection speed ( i have the 400kbps unlimited plan ) I ping well to the only cs source server in mumbai and also my connection rarely times out..

The signal strength is 25 so im assuming its really good.. Also I have a direct view to the tower, which is actually between my building and my college heh..just a few hundred feet away..

BTW when i say beastly, im coming from a tata indicom plug2surf whiz which is a HUGE POS..but before that, I had an openband connection in the US, which was a 60mbps connection for dirt cheap

The higher rentals are on the corporate plans, where you aren't shown a login screen. Otherwise, everything is supposedly the same.

Default Reliance Wimax is Good in Speed and Connectivity

My overall experience with Reliance Wimax is good. Its speed is always consistent. I agree there is nothing like upto this much speed. It is the speed that they rated.

Otherwise you will not get the connection at all. Most of the problems faced by many users of this connection are only for beginners. I happens with impatient people. Wimax is a new concept, it takes more time than a wired Broadband to get an IP address from the DHCP server.

Hence many people not having patience to wait for 10 minutes once the Power over Ethernet device is switched on, tend to face innumerable difficulties and flood the forums.

In fact I joined this forum because of that problem only. The customer care is good. But there are also we need to be little more patient in telling our problems. You break something/some relation ship in angry, you will end up losing this amazing connection forever.

    Default Totally Satisfied

I am using Reliance Wimax since last 4months. I am in 1mbps Unlimited. Earlier there used to be an issue with frequent non getting the IPs. But lately it has gone. Speed is consistent around 115 KBps. CC is great. My problems solved within 2 hrs. max but lately did not need to call them up at all.

I am totally satisfied. With Speed, performance and CC.
