Thread: Samsung SGH-J700i

Hi out there.

I have a nearly new Samsung SGH-J700i mobile phone. But during a heavy rain shower the phone got wet. I have took the back off the phone and put it in the sun to dry. The phone is now dry i think. It will work but. but it keep freezing up and turns its self off. The SIM card is OK as it works in my other phone. Any one any ideas on how to fix this. No good going back to the purchase shop as warranty will not cover liquid damage.

hmmmm... i think if your phone is new you should not go to a non-dealer....

you should take to another shop, (samsung dealer must) and it will work,,

If your phone is in warranty then it might help your can take it to your dealer.

Better take to the dealer shop!!

Keep it near the lamp ones again with a 100 watt bulb, the remaining water will also dry.

Else go to authorised service center only, Since the phone is in warranty.

damages due to water seepage is not covered under warranty.

^^damages caused by water leak-in is not covered in the warranty.
Better go some other dealer and dont tell him that its a water problem.
tell him that it suddenly did such mess...

companies are enough rich to pay for your single problem.

But they would come to know there is some waterlogging problem!

yeah tell them that the phone peed on itself

it's unfortunate it happened, but don't go and try to rip off the phone dealer.

and see, the store i went they are selling it for a drastic 5400/-

i am searching a good phone for soulmate.. but i cannot decide a not so smart but no so bad either phone for her.. she is on her sony erik for last three years..

considering that it has only 800mAh battery, I would say its greatly under-powered.

can you pls suggest a high end(mid range) mobile with good cam, basic facitlities, mp3 etc..

that needs one very important input - budget?
