Hi,

Samsung has recently launched its much-acclaimed mobile handset called Samsung Jet in India. Some of its specifications include:

* Quad-band EDGE/GPRS, dual-band HSDPA (900/2100 MHz)
* 800Mhz application processor
* 3.1″ AMOLED display at 800 x 480
* 5 megapixel auto-focus camera with Face Detection and Geo-tagging
* Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi, USB 2.0 via microUSB slot, A-GPS
* 2GB/8GB of internal storage, MicroSD slot for an additional 16GB

With great widgets, lush screen and the fastest processor ever, Samsung Jet is definitely 'Smarter than a Smartphone'.

how fast is it compared to other phones, I mean how fast does ones phone really need to be.............not a lot im guessing!

What is speed related to phone? I mean exactly where speed is needed in a cellphone?

Are you trying to say speed of processing of application loaded, or it's charging time, or it's data communication speed?

Yeah, and the load of traffic also.

I do not use cellphone for net browsing. Is the browser on the phone also responsible for speed?

The phone has a 800MHz processor which they are using as a marketing gimmick.
It is a dumbphone (does not have a proper smartphone OS aka WinMo , S60 or Android)

^^ that was a PF kinda comment...

i also think that there is no specific alignment of phones as fastest of dumbest...
if a phone is lightening fast and doesnt have a mc jacket than its a piece of $#!t.. and also if a phone has a mc slot but cannot open it even in millions of seconds/crashes/hangs.. thats a pitty story... i failed my own 3110c phone.. it hangs basically almost everytime i open my phone cause i filled softwares(pc suites nokia/samsung ) i have music (around 500-600 mb wma) i have java softwares (j2me- 50-60 mbs) i also have pics and vids, (700-800 mbs) its a poor 1.9 gb card..
