Would like some more clarity on some of the issues outlined.

What do you mean by speed breaker text editor, could you clarify? I do blogging on wordpress.com and it has a visual and a text editor, do you want to relate to something like that? Do you want to say there are no editing functions to help when composing HTML e-mails or something like that. A little bit more clarity would be helpful.

It would have been nicer if you would have given some model nos. which would have also given us some evaluation ideas.

The point about PC Sync Software is interesting, are there any updates to that program or is one stuck with whatever version is in the package/model no. ? I'm thinking Apple ITunes here which can be updated in Classic IPod and stuff like that.

Point 5 can be irritating. Point 9 is interesting, could you elaborate on No Option to GPRS Always Online. What do you mean by it? You mean to say the GPRS connectivity is not good, again without model nos. it doesn't stick anywhere.

Also when you say mid-end phones, pricing is also necessary for each person's idea of a mid-end phone varies, for me anything above 3.5-4k is mid-end phone and anything above 10k is high-end, this might not be necessarily true for you. Looking forward to answers.

    I agree with Mickey
I have a Nokia 5235 while my friend has a more expensive Samsung corby Pro

Corby pro can hardly support softwares from other Java Phones while 5235 can
Samsung Corby's browser is pathetic,Opera doesnt work

And Most of all Corby doesnt support UCWEB browser that allows you to browse GPRS for free while the 5235 supports it

And Corby Pro cant use Google Maps as it doesnt allow web support for apps
Nokia 5235 can run Google maps, use inbuilt GPS without any hassle and even locate itself

And worst of all Corby cant run Ebuddy which is a facebook chat application and also it doesnt have a Push or Sync Email facility both of which are availiable in nokia 5235

Only plus point of corby is its good speaker but bad headphones

You all can imagine why my friend wants an Nokia X6 now

So I would not recommend low end Samsung phones instead opt for the Now popular Nokia 5233 availiable for about 6k

I am not biased towards Nokia,Sony Ericcson always beats it but Cheap Samsung phones are really bad

^^ i like my samsung phones (MARINE B2110 , Solar Guru, L700 3G) but they are good in other ways, but not texting, internet and java.. they have good multimedia features, for this +100 to samsung, but at last i have friends on fb and kut, but because there is no gprs always online option(which even Nokia 2626 has) the speed goes pathetic..
images cant be off'ed in b2100 and it cant open a java heap of more than 200 kb or so.

but a plus point for samsung's new phones is good camera and the image editor is also helpful for speedy manipulation on the go which is not possible in Nokia phones..

The worst thing in samsung phone is slow speed of sending sms. 5 sms in one go takes more than a minute, which is very irritating, i had to sell my 10days old samsung corby to get a Nokia.

The slow speed of sms sending is problem with most of the samsung phones.

Most samsung phones, corby, guru, marine only have option of storing maximum of 300sms, which is bad. The speed of gprs is slow. I use Airtel Mobile Office, where as its good on a nokia
