All these new mobile phones with touchscreens need to be charged every night I have used a Samsung S2 and now the Note and I have to charge it every day. The large screens use up a lot of energy and the battery technology isint keeping up with the advances we have had recently so for the time being charge every night. You could show it to the samsung people if you believe yours is doing exceptionally poorly as far as the battery goes.
Also check if GPS and bluetooth and stuff are left on all day and also wifi... things like these make a huge difference and also screen brightness is best left at auto or the minimum to extend battery backup

In addition to following the tips by Admin, you may put off the data service when the same is not used and set the network mode to GSM only.In my case this significantly enhanced the battery performance of my Galaxy Ace.

I use the Android battery optimizer app "Easy battery saver". This app automatically turns off all energy hogging features such as wireless, Bluetooth, etc. when not used for a long period of time. For instance, wireless is switched off automatically at night and periods of long inactivity. I have found that the battery can now run for at least 48 hours now.

How is the battery doing these days? Any improvement after implementing the above suggestions?
