Default Samsung Galaxy Core Prime VE - a phone for everyone!

Samsung has just launched its new Galaxy budget phone in India which is priced at Rs.8,600 (approx $145). This tiny phone has a 4.5 inch WVGA PLS (plane to line switching) TFT display. It has a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor with 1GB RAM. In camera it got a 5 megapixel rear camera and 2 megapixel front camera. The handset power is backed by a 2000 mAh battery. Its runs on Android 4.4.

I think this is a budget phone for those who is looking for a basic Android smart phone.

8600 is too much price. I think we should not have tp buy phone above 5000 price. Why i am saying this because last week i dropped nokia x2 from my hand by mistake. Screen cracked from lower side and i spend 3500 RS on repair. Six month earlier i buy it in RS 7600 and and repair 3500, total 11000. This is too much on phone after all phone is phone. It not pc or laptop. Another problem is everytime after few month or days new technology launched and that new technology does not support our old device. We have to buy again new smart phone for using that new technology and phone are not like pc in which we unistall old window and install new one. I am not in side of spending huge money on phones.

I agree with you on this point to some extent. I am also not keen to spend high on mobile phones as the technology changes every day. If we have the patience to wait we can own our dream phone at a half price once another model is launched by the competitor. I think in this case also it will be near 5k in a few months once competition is on. But at the same time I don't think it is too pricey considering the market value of Samsung as a brand.
