Default Samsung is planning to launch high end Tizen smartphone by next year!

As per an unofficial Samsung Vietnam website, Samsung is all set to launch its own Tizen based smartphone in 2016. However the details of this high profile phone are yet to be disclosed by the company. Tizen has already overtook Blackberry and grabbed the fourth position in the top five largest OS platform category. It is the first time it beats Blackberry. There is no doubt that this will create news in the smartphone industry.

I think Samsung is in the right track. The only way to survive in the stiff competition in the current Android market is to develop their own Tizon OS. Samsung is really struggling in the Android market with the entry of cheap Chinese mobiles with excellent features. I think this will be an answer to them all.

I know very little about the Tizen, it seems to have admirers in some specific regions of the world. I sincerely hope it be better than the long awaited "Firefox OS" that is not popular. But with the release of High End Samsung, perhaps, it help the popularity of this OS.

Tizen is an open source system being developed by the Linux Foundation in partnership with Samsung, Panasonic and Intel to work on smartphones, tablets, smart TVs, netbooks, vehicles and all other systems. In resume, It is a OS like an Android, IOS and Windows 10.

Do you think that Tizen can be compared with Windows Phone or is it better?

Right now, the OS is practically at beta stage. There can be no comparison with established OS.
However, technically its closer to Android as both Tizen and Android are based on Linux.

I think that Tizen could have a future at being a high end os because of some of these reasons. First is that Tizen looks new and clean and is something not seen anywhere else. Another reason is that Tizen is in other parts of the world so it has a large market. Lastly Tizen is with android which is very popular. These are some reasons why I think that Tizen could have a future at being a high end os.

Well, Tizen has a hard challenge because the OS will must all functions that the others OS have. Moreover, it is important to remember that Nokia ( A successful brand) bets in Windows Phone, but the result was not initially the best.

I hope that this OS will have a lot of apps at launch, and that many developers will wish to develop apps for this new OS. Otherwise I do not see this becoming popular unfortunately. Although, I do think that it is a very good idea to create a new OS. Samsung may finally set itself aside from the other android devices.

I think Samsung is playing the game for future as they sense that it will be difficult to survive in the Android market for long. With the advent of Chinese smartphones, you can get Android smartphones at throwaway prices and that too with excellent features. If the same situation continues, Samsung will be out of orders quite soon. It is heard that they are planning to reduce the prices of some upcoming models to beat the competition.

Now Tizen is the only way to go for them. I think they took a nice decision to invest more on Tizen development which may become a strong competitor for Android in coming days.
