Whenever something new hits the market, people get excited and try their best to get hold of it at first. The same excited overwhelmed me when for the 1st time Sify broadband service was available for my locality(Kolkata). And fcourse i lost my patience and called my local cable providers for a connection sify bband as it is distributed by cablewallahs mostly (my 1st mistake). One of their representative came and showed me their packages. I agreed to take 64 kbps bband connection for Rs.695/month. But then he offered me to pay only 580rs for 6 months but then i’ll have to make payment for 6 months @ once, so i took it. He also insisted that their service is the best and their server is never down. Well in the very 1st week i had to make atleast 20 calls to service centre complaining for slow connection even w/ 64kbps broadband. Then i started receiving good connection the download speed was around 8-10 kbps. then after one month again same problem popped up, they told me that they are gonna fix it and no problem will exist. But i was fool to believe that. Even online gaming is no good, i used to play Conterstrike, Starcraft with/ dial up with/ little lag but still i was able to play. Now i start any net game the game starts lagging due to delayed reception of data by the server. Forget gaming even surfing is no good, whenever there is an image download from a site it stops receiving and the site takes mad long to load. You can understand why would some one write all this without tough experience. I now have to suffer this slow internet for about 2 more months , then i’ll get BSNL DATAONE. Many of my friends have already switched to dataone. SO if u are looking for a broadband connection don’t even think about Sify.

It has worst customer care, slow speed, lag.

PLEASE DON’t Allow these ghetto service providers to grow.
