Default Sify - Always Worry Don't Be Happy

Sify.... Broadband--- When i have taken Sify broadband never i thought this will be
a nighmare for me... yes initially it worked well for a month but after that every
day it used to be down.

I use a monthly usage based package and it goes waste if i hv not utilised it., for this sify customer care has no answers ,, first of all it is located in chennai and they direct calls from there to respective locations which they say will be attended within 24 hrs but it never happens so.

Sify Provides only the bandwidth till the CTO (Cable Operator) By Wireless Connectivity
after thay CTO provides End to End Connectivity by Cat5 cables to the Network Card. I do appreciate Sify for Some facilities which has reduced the viruses and problems related
to IP sharing after binding it to the MAC of the Network card. But their CTO operators
are worst and no response after numerous calls to them.

As in various reviews I have analysed that sify’s main bottleneck is the End to End Connectivity to the customers End. If Following Suggestions are implemented by Sify
i belive it can become the best in broadband connectivity.

1. Thorough Check to be conducted at Each CTO to see their service levels and also that they should have somebody to attend complaint calls. As sify pays 30% to the CTO of total subscriber billings.

2. Technical Expertise of the CTO to be verified to attend the problems quicker.

3. Most problems are associated with
a) Hubs -- It is a device to extend the network, works upto 100 metres, it is placed
to extend the distance. These devices if not kept properly will have connectivity
problems best way to enclosed it in a container where water should not go inside.

b ) . Power - each deviced needs power to run which creates problems when any locality’s power is not there as normally CTO takes the power from overhead cables, and it is distrupted if it is not centralised.

I belive with these sify’s services can improve, Also Sify has to visit CTO to
see how the setups are there to help and guide them for better service.
