.When the TRAI said that only connections above 256Kbps could be called broadband . Sify did jump into the bandwagon only to place a 150MB cap during the day . 150MB .....???? that can be downloaded in a paltry 90minutes with that connection . Even though night times are free sify resorts to session expiries . Who is gonna reconnect at 2 in the morning . The dialer whose setup size increased from 4MB to a huge 8MB has really nothing much to offer .Than darn thing dosent even have an auto reconnect feature . 8MB and no auto reconnect ??? . Most of the times sify purposely forces a session expiry even though i am surfing or dloading from the net .
I have called the customer service lots of times only to be greeted by some really dumb people who dont seem to know what a firewall is .

Initally they used to provide an unlimited service which used to cost Rs. 995 for a 96Kbps package . but slowly i started to notice that they were capping my speed to 48Kbps after i dloaded in excess of 150MB. One of the sify higherups in sify described downloading in excess of 150MB as ’’Abuse of our system’’ . 150MB is an abuse of the system ????? Then i would be abusing the system even if i downloaded microsofts service pack 2 which is 266MB .

Trust me sify broadband is the worst ever . Not worth subscribing at all . rather wait for broadband than subscribing to cheaters like sify and getting ripped off .
