    Lightbulb COST FACTOR of SIFY

    hi guys .........

just tell me what amount ur paying for sify ............and have a compared look wd that of others loke MTNL

    i had used sify
    my cost was 1200/- ( package ) + 100/- (LMC) = 1300
    for 1 year it is 1300 * 12 = 15600

    now using MTNL
    package 600/-
    odem charge 50/-
    total 600 + 50 + 12.36% tax = 731 /-

    now my saving 15600 - (731 * 12) = 6828

now see the huge diffenece :48:

Sify is costly and unreliable. Never used it.

On a side note. Why are you paying modem rent every month? Buy it outright.

you get download size limitation with MTNL after that you have to pay 1 rupee per mb. however with sify you can download unlimited. 5 GB may be enough for you but not for big downloaders. sify can be a good option for those who download a lot.

Talking LOL @ Sify for Heavy Downloads

Dude I am sorry to say but, never ever in my life have I heard that before, seriously

with all due respect to SIFY it sucks big time, the first and foremost concern is why teh hell do you need dumb cable operators acting as Gateways ?
and for ur kind information do read the EULA and you will realize their plan description goes liek this ...... "Plan Ey56 Unlimited 256kbps* ... blah blah"
and you check what teh star says? *upto 256Kbps ....

and the rest si history, every body who has used sify knows it sucks, most also know why, they just ain't bothered a bit about anything, you get a static half teh times you dial their Customer Care; and teh rest ahhhh,

anyways SIFY sucks, and use it only when you have nothing else, like in my case, But I am hoping to get a Tata Wimax soon, and then goodbye to Sify forever, and yeah I used it for just a week now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was on reliance prior they seem to be having some problems with local vendor, ! dumb ass management,

    Adios,
    V.
P.S: my Utorrent download speed fluctuates from 2kbps to 20kbps on this sify damn thing, and you can be assured the connection will log you out due to Gateway issue every hour, some times every five minutes, thats hwo bad they suck at it.

Well there is a strange anomaly in my case ..... I get a downtime of max 2 days per month .... the rest of the days i.e for 27-28 days i get a constant connection ...My avg download speed has been 28 kbps ... it has never gone below 25kBps and sometimes shoots to 60+kBps = [1 Mbps]

It was initially shitty ...but it only keeps getting better it seems !....No wonder i have nt been around the Sify section for a while now !

This month it went down only once and that was because my CTO went on a Self declared Holiday[one day] during Navaratra .....Otherwise there has nt been even a minute of disconnection!

Well let me see how long this lasts .....I think i might have to phone up the "Repley's Believe it or Not" guys ...
