Thread: Netgear router and iphone WIFI... pls HELP !!!

I have a netgear router with sify broadband... i get connected to the wifi using the iphone 3g without any issues but i am unable to browse any websites

I can see the iphone 3g having the IP address, subnet and DNS filled

I have done a renew lease and reset network settings but no luck

I have changed the DNS to 202.68.220.220 and 202.68.222.222 but even that doesnt solve the problem

I took the iphone 3g to my friends place he has the same netgear router with Airtel broadband and it worked like a charm there

i can connect to the router homepage 192.168.1.1 from the iphone

Can some 1 who has any idea about this help me out

i've attached my netgear settings if some 1 can take a look would be helpful

i am currently using my laptop and my Desktop in tandem using WiFi (Netgear Router).
first off all You need to change your router mac. add. to the one of the computer from which you are registered to sify and use the dialer to login to sify.
after treat your router addresses as you would put in your sify Ip addreses etc.
in your computer make it dhcp enabled with router add as the gate way.
after that u should login using your computer as normal, and then do not logout even if u r shuting down the PC.
u should be able to connect through your IPhone now using WiFi.

i am havin a problem with my iphone , could not connect to linksys . i have a vsnl <tataindicom>
