Thread: Any other than sify?

i have been using sify for almsot a year with a plan of 150mb/day and night unlimited with 256kbps throughout.i pay 1700/3months.

although as usual i have some downtime,it is mostly satisfactory.the problem is i live in a village area in mumbai(north) where only sify bb and reliance wimax is available.

i dont know why bsnl isn't providing broadband here coz there is bsnl broadband just 1 kilometer away.

so with the fair usage policy now applied to reliance too.should i still stick with sify. also i can't pay more than 8k/year for my connection

I suggest you to stay away from sify, if you got sify connection then get it cancelled as soon as possible. I used sify long time back and i think it's the worst ISP on this planet.

If you are living in mumbai then BSNL is not an option for you, you can opt for MTNL there, BSNL can not provide BB in Mumbai. Reliance is good enough and please check if tata wimax is available in your area.

Don't worry about the annual price as there are number of offers available on annual price plans.

bsnl gives u a whopping speed of 1.5 - 2 mbps. I have just switched from sify to bsnl.

With a choice between Reliance and Sify, I would suggest stick to Sify! Even Im using Sify currently and I know the service is bad. But still, Reliance is even worse.

Have you given a thought to wireless connections?
