| Junior Member | hey friends i have two laptops at home and a wifi smartphone and netgear wifi router , as i contacted the sify personnel he said you will have to use multiuser plan ... is that true .. or i can use the single user plan to access internet on both the laptops ?? please help .. as multiuser plans are expensive and if we can do the same with single user that i can opt for higher speed ... please help .. and if i can access via single user account , then please tellexplain the steps , i have the 2 laptops mac address registered with sify and also the router's mac adress as i bought that from them! please help !!!!! |

| there is no need to get MU account just network your systems together and use it...! you keep your router in PPPoE mode so all 3 can access at a time..! the only drawback of it is your bandwidth will be shared among all three... |

| please update your netgear wi-fi router model number so ill tell you how to configure, yes in MU both will get full bandwidth it will not be shared (as far as i know in BSNL it works like this) ..... |

Rep Power: 0 | hey kiran.. even i have got the same netgear wgr614 router on 10th may.. my isp (worldnet) walla too is telling me to upgrade to a multiuser which is damn expensive.. can u please show us how to configure singleuser account for all devices ? i have a desktop + laptop + iphone.. and my isp is worldnet which uses pppoe (infact the software he uses is raspppoe).. awaiting ur reply.. |
