Thread: Sify a wish or a nightmare !!

I would like to have your opinion on the sify broadband service
Some say it is really a nightmare while other are happy using sify

I haven't tried sify,need your opinions

sify was a nightmare for me but we took connection few years back, i dont know how the service is now.

sify uses local cable wala for the last line connectivity. never a good proposition.

Sify sucks.. don't go for sify.. their dialer sucks too .. it opens after 30 seconds..sometime does not even open till i restart my pc.. plus u need to change ur ip & use sify's ip.. so if u r using lan , u need to change ip every time.. also..Internet speed sucksssssss

One of the hopeless service i just disconnected within a month and shifted to other...

It ll depend on where you are .... Except in South India Sify is hopeless everywhere else or so i hear ..... If you have any other ISPs like Airtel or BSNL in your area i suggest that you get theirs

and yes their method of using the local cable guy to give last mile connections is one of the major reasons for their poor quality of service

In Delhi Sify Service is pathetic......

I will say worst service provider in delhi.......Truly a nightmare.......I wasted 1000 bucks for installation but shifted to MTNL within a very short time span.....

Definitely a nightmare. I still hate my days in Delhi when I had to use sify as sify had its monopoly in my location. How dreadful it used to be being one of the costliest internet service provider and the service was so poor. It has online payment gateway but mostly the gateway used to remain blocked making it impossible to pay. The connectivity was poor and if you call the customer service they always promised a callback which I never received. Normal time of resolving an issue used to be 5-10 hours. being a prepaid connection i lost 2-3 days on resolutions and i was never compensated for the time that i lost as i paid on monthly basis. I hope I never have to deal with sify again.

sify is number 1 ISP (from bottom)
in simple words it is the worst ISP
