Thread: Things to keep in mind while choosing a Broadband Vendor

Different People different experiances, but this is for sure that consider following things before applying for the connection

1. Every broadband vendor has a -Ve and +Ve Area
2. Lookout for following when u take a broadband
a. Service in that area
b. Overheads, hidden costs, service charge or maintenance costs
c. Ask for a demo plan first and experiance the net, use different tools to check the maximum download and upload speeds.
d. Talk to an existing customer of that vendor
e. Dial their customer care and see if they allow easy escallation of unsolved problems.
f. See if they compensate judiciously for your loss or their poor service.
g. Always have a dialup with you so that, you don't suffer during emergencies.
h. See if the email addresses of Management people for that vendor are available on net, if your problems don't get solved write a mail to customer care and CC to every mail id of management. Finding management email addresses if easy, just search for the owners of the vendor, partners etc and make ur own email addresses, just search before on google, like partners@sify.com etc. When Customer care people see that mail has a CC they respond immediatly.
i. See if Routers are easily installed or not
