Thread: Anybody using SIFY broadband in Tavarkere, Bangalore?

Hi,

Any folks here using Sify broadand service in Tavarkere area, Bangalore? I am thinking of going for 256kbps unlimited plan in Tavarkere, for which the agent was asking me a non-refunudable amount of 1500/-. In a few areas of Bangalore i heard a positive talk but in most of the other, i got a bad response for Sify.

So, Please share your experience about the speed, service etc and help me decide.

Hey have u taken the Sify connection? Please don't go for Sify its worst than all other service providers. I have taken the connection in May,08 its works fine for 3 day and thats it, the network will be down most of the time and if you call Customer Care / local agents no use, those bugger will switch off the mobiles no response and if you try contacting customer care then its a very big joke man. Please don't go for that!!!

I am from Nasik and i have 3 Sify connections-2 at the Office and 1 at home. I have taken the unlimited-256 kbps package. I have been using Sify Broadband for more than six months now and I am fed up of complaining to the local Nasik Sify Office and to customer care in Pune regarding the third rate service they have been providing. Sometimes i get speeds of 0 kbps many times in a day. And at others - no connectivity at all. And this is after subscribing for the unlimited 256 kbps package.
I am now thinking of filing a case in the Consumer courts against Sify for deficiency in service and claim damages.

But its the same story for all other ISPs in Nasik-Tata, VSNL, Reliance, BSNL. None of them are service oriented and provide proper service.

Why cant these ISPs provide better service??
