Default Sify broadband is such a pain

I am not having a very good day I paid my cable operator Rs1400 and asked him to renew my package which has 256kbps speed during the day and 512kbps unlimited at night and guess what he has renewed the wrong one and given me 256kbps unlimited..

Called a number of times both customer care and the cable operator nothing has been done yet its been 3 days.
My previous pack will expire tomorrow and the new one I have put on hold so if these idiots don't sort out the issue today I will be without a connection tomorrow again and its nothing new its a norm for sify to disconnect me for a few days every month.

I spoke to one of the supervisors at Sify whose name is Rashid and he said he will get this sorted out as soon as possible which I doubt very much.

Dont ever get a sify broadband connection if you have any other options in your area.

    Sify sucks.

I got my sify broadband renewed today ... took them so many days to renew.. This is not just one off thing.. this **** happens every month.

I am going to use my credit card to renew from the next month onwards.

Did you know that your cable wala looses a bit of his commission if yu renew with your credit card

Just wait another year or so.. Sify will take a huge hit on its customer base as other operators start providing services where sify has its monopoly.

yaa admin one more thing they said... they can make it fast if i will make a group of atleast 5-6 people around my home.. means they need atleast 5-6 connections from my area to install it.. check with airtel if it is possible for you to get them 5-6 connections in your area...

@Admin, Why do use sify, when BSNL (best ISP in India) is avaliable at such high speeds.

Its sad to here about that!! You don't even have BSNL in Delhi!!. Even such a small town like mine has it along with airtel, reliance, tata indicom.

So I guess I should stay away from Sify, then, eh? It's hard to get a grip on all those providers, there's always good things and bad things about them
