Exclamation Sify Problem during monsoon season

    Hi all

One more problem of sify which we can not avoid or can not fix for hours and hours... :taz:

My sify connection goes down whenever it rains as my local cablewalla has installed all switches on trees and inside drains (i think). Whenever it rains my sify connection stops working and gives me an error "BB101". I already reported this problem to sify for more than 20 times but still i m unable to get any resolution for same... one of my friend is using local net connection which is non secure connection provided by local cablewala, that works good during rain aswell and remains unaffected in all seasons.. :asshole:

can we do anything about this poor service....

Just give sify customer care a call and get a complaint number every time your connection goes down and once its restored give them another call asking for compensation and from what I understand your cable operator has to pay up from his pocket if the issue was at his end so once he realises that he is gonna have to keep paying up unless he sorts out the problem he would do somethign about it asap.

    hi admin bro...
where were you from long time... yaa thats what i m doing... maintaining a proper excel sheet and tracking all complaint numbers with agents name and issue with date and time... so that at the end of month i can tell them that my sify fraudband was not working for 11 days in month and apart from that this time i m planing to send my phone bill to sify so that i can tell them that look assholes i have already paid 358rupees just to call this sify customer care... and this time m gonna take there happiness for a toss...

you too do this and it may help to get a better service...

ek baat aur... is baar mainae consumer forum ka bhi jugaad kar rakha hai.. if they will try to escape then will file a proper complaint

what you say... good idea na...

If you want to file a case for getting the money you spent on phone calls then you dont stand a chance. As long as they keep on compensating for the downtime by giving you extra days in your account they are legally covered.

Get a mtnl prepaid sim card with Vidyarthi plan it will cost you Rs310 per month and you will get unlimited free calls to mtnl mobiles and land lines so all calls to sify will be free of charge.. thats what I do coz I spend a lot of time with sify over the phone.

Did you call them up to compensate you for the lost days? If you still have the complaint number just call them up and give them the complaint number and ask them to add the number of days your net was down .. I am sure they will do it for you as they do it for me every month.

If this doesnt help just ask them to put you through to a supervisor and keep on shouting untill they listen .. they do eventually for me.

Call their head office if nothing happens after doing all this.

Start sending 2-3 e-mails every day with a link to this thread... In 4-5 days they will do something about it as they do in my case normally.

Have you checked that you havent got compensation for the days in question for sure?

Harassing their customer support team is the only way to go and maybe complain about your cablewala, i think its probably the cablewala who shuts down his system due to the rains, as most of them think it will ruin their system during the rain. Like everyone else has mentioned keep a track of the complain numbers and note down the time and date of call too.

    ya ya preeti...
i have a proper excel sheet with me... full of problem, details, date n time, executive name and resolution provided.... and my cablewala is nothing more than a piece of **** he is such a moron that when it comes to pay bill he can not wait for even one day and when it comes to service he never pics phone... thats why i always call sify care only... aur vo log bhi phone pick karte hain aur fir disconnect kar dete hain

and it takes about 4-5 attempts to get any stupid executive in sify tech team...

i m seriously planing to change provider...

please suggest if you have any idea...
