and where is my bike admin

    Hi

I am Sify Broadband customer Aditya Rana, Sify UserID: adityarana_16@Sify.com. I want to cancel my Sify broadband account as i m facing a number of issues with my local Cable provider who is providing Sify connection to my home. According to my Cable provider Sify calls him every time to ask my reputation before providing renew on my account.

I provided 2 cheques to my Cable provider for Sify broadband account renew, first cheque i provided at the end of may with cheque date 1 June 2008, which he presented to bank on 18th day of the month and the cheque got bounced (where i insisted Cable provider in the month of may only to put the cheque in bank in first week of month only because cheque was from my salary account) after getting the fist cheque bounced my local Cable provider send his service boy to my home without my information to collect money and started verbal abuse on phone.

Second time he presented cheque to bank on 24th of month and cheque got bounced again which is affecting my financial credibility with bank and i belive he is delebritaley bouncing the cheque now.

Third thing my broadband never works during rain and i am unable to connect during any climatic changes, have already reported this issues lot many times to Sify but still there is no change in service level.

I am not sure why he is charging 100 rupees per month for line maintenance when it is not working during any climatic change.

In very short terms i really dont have a lot of issues with Sify but have a number of problems with my local Sify provider like:

    verbal abuse
    not putting cheque on time
    Delebritaley bouncing the cheque
    Ruining financial credibility with bank
lack of proper service, cutting the internet line during rains and forcefully trying to coax money out
    undue harresment
    personal threat
    intruding at home premisis

I would request you to please provide me better services otherwise help me to cancel my services, this month i have renewed my package online using my credit card just for a backup so that i can search for another provider in case Sify is not satisfying my needs.

    Thanks & Regards
    Aditya Rana

    Thats bad

Send sify another mail telling them that You will get all the sify cables removed from your area as they have been hung on to telephone and electricity poles illegally without any permission.

Get a reliance wimax connection.. get rid of sify if your cable guy behaves like this. Its not just your cable operator ... this issue is in every other area sify operates.. This lala type business model is not here to last and will vanish in time to come.

Did you get another connection yet? Sorry I completely forgot about this thread of yours.

Mtnl is no better then sify in my area

Sify has been ok for the last few weeks for me coz some new guy is taking care of the network now.

Its a big no no to give your local cable operator a cheque.. use cash instead if you ever have to otherwise credit card is the quickest and safest way to renew I guess.

Ihave had instances where my cable operator did not renew my package for 10 days due to lack of funds in his account with sify.. even after paying the money in cash.

I have just sent a stinking e-mail to sify... It will either be deleted or you might get a call with an update first thing in the morning

Did you get any phone call from sify thi morning?

no never got a call admin.. just got that sms saying

Dear Sify BB customer, your case ID 7337337 is being worked on by our team. Will keep you updated on resolution.

after this sify never called me and when i called them back for connection issue sify care executive hung up on me before saying anything about this issue... so now i m just waiting for the day when my operator comes up to me and says anything...

on that day i m planing to tell him to F**K Off

coz i know that he even can not do anything legally for such a small amount and he can not put a case on me for anything which is less than 2000 rupees..

and apart from that i m planing to tell him the same thing you said... i will get all your cables removed which are hanging around illegally :taz:

Dont say that to the cable operator.. they dont care. Call sify care and ask them to put you through to a supervisor and then tell him/her that if this matter is not sorted asap then you will get their illegal cables chucked away from all the electricity poles which are hung there illegally.
The local cable operator will just pick up a fight which isint what we need....

If this matter doesnt get sorted and you change your isp then go down to your local electricity supplier office and talk to some one there and ask them if you can use their poles to run your wires on their poles and they will say no and then tell them that sify cables are already running up and down their poles..

Next day your cable operator will loose atleast 20k in bribes... I guess thats enough damadge for making you run around..

Once this is done we can try some more stuff to keep your cable operator busy in time to come.

thats a great idea admin... i m really impressed by this one... and trust me.. i m gonna do this very soon... and after that i will make sure that he loose a good amount... apart from that i really dont want to involve my parents in this matter otherwise you know my mom is in Main Ministry Vigilance and my chachi is in Central Vigilance Commission
so they can stop electricity dept to take bribe too...

my connection is not working for 2 sep 2008 till now 9 sep 2008, in these 7 days i called sifycare number of times but there is no one who can resolve the issue and the issue is somewhere there is a power failure (which sify is unable to resolve in 7 days)
day before yesterday i had a word with Mr. Sardanan (supervisor) in sify who promised me resolution or a callback with complete information in 12 hours its more than 48 hours now still no call and no information.. obvious there is no internet too..

after all this today i got a call from sify, girl from sify offered me to get my package renewed so that she can send someone to collect payment from next month.... i was laughing for about fine 60 seconds after that i explained the situatation to that girl and she promised me another callback... another (second) joke..

please its obvious there is no callback as yet...

now its the last date for my package which is about to be expired on 9 Sep 2008

m about to change my ISP now but still waiting for sify to provide me an answer what took them so long to resolve such a small issue

today i called sify care once again and had a word with one more rocket scientist who said that my issue is resolved now and the problem was with a power cable which is resolved.. but in actual terms i was still not able to see any network connection and it was giving error Network cable unplugged so i said to that guy again that there is no network connection and LAN says network cable unplugged.. where that man asked me sir please try to connect once and provide me error message you are getting on sify so that i can take care of this case.. got BB108 again (without running that shitty sify dialer)

and here comes the good news.. after wasting my 18 mins on call i got one more trouble ticket number and sify adviced me to wait for another 12 working hours...

    Day 10

yesterday i called sify to confirm status of fault and they said its already resolved so i informed them that its still not resolved and still shows network cable unplugged. After getting this reply i got another trouble ticket number (as i said in my last post)

after all this **** today i got a message on my cell which reads:
Dear Customer The reported problem on your Sify BB is now resolved. Please SMS BBRES with your username to 54545 if the problem recurs.

and as the issues is still not resolved so i sent message to above stated number with my username

    and got a funny reply

Sify BB: This service is not responding. Please try again later.

now i am feeling so bad about this all that i want to kick each and every employee of sify care as they really dont know anything and keep on telling me to do stunts like hell

admin n just4kix what you think now can i go for a consumer court case now or not. Otherwise suggest me something

Default Problem which started on 2 sep 2008 got resolved on 14 sep 2008 at 2:45pm

Here comes the day when i got the issue resolved after working hard for about 6 hours.
Today i started calling sify at 5:30AM and a word with Sify care associate John in Chennai who provided me his manager Mr. Bhaskar's contact and details after i insisted him for supervisor, there was no supervisor available on floor at that time so he advised me to wait for 4 hours and call back at 9:30AM.
after staying awake for 4 hours i called back sify and 2 associates disconnected my call after putting me on hold for more than 8-10 minutes. Finally i got a sify associate Sunita who offered me a callback from her supervisor Prabhu. I insisted her that i m okey to stay on phone and can wait for supervisor no matters if it takes one hour for him to come on phone or take 8 hours. after talking with sunita for 28 mins i got supervisor on shift Mr. Prabhu who is really helpful and man of words i explained him the complete situation for 20 mins and then he said that he will get this issue resolved by tomorrow any how and if i want to speak to manager can speak to him to (he provided me direct contact number and extn. number for sify cust. care manager Mr. Bhaskar) so i was satisfied with all this and said that i can wait for your call till 16 sep 2008.
After finishing all this at 12:30PM i went to sleep as i was awake from last more than 27 hours i just crashed on bed, all sudden at 2:35PM the Local Cable Providers Rocket Scientist (same cable walla guy who takes care of all physical cables which are hanging on trees and electricity poles) came to my doorstep and i provided him info that Error: BB108 is there on computer saying Local Area Connection, Network Cable Unplugged. Then he went upstairs and came back in just 2 mins and asked me to check if it is working or not.
Here comes the magic now.. it actully started working
and when i asked him what was the problem and why it took so many days, his replied Hamae to pata he nahi tha aapnae complaint he nahi kiya. aapko hamae phone karna chaiyae tha. Now i m more confused that who is playing here is it sify or my local provider as i had with a number of sify associates like.
    sarvanand
    afsar
    Kamal Singh
    Maria
    Kishor
    savanan
    Mudasir
    John
    sunita

(if anyone from sify is reading this then you can check my account too to validate the names, may be m missing some names but not even a single name is wrong as i have all conversations with me along with complaint numbers)

Now i am just waiting for Mr. Bhaskar to speak with regarding the same that is the the way a organization should treat its customers and here in this post the rude behavior of my local provider is not mentioned which is there in my first post.

If i will not get any help from sify now then will go to consumer court for same issue as i have already spent a lot of money in calling sify paid support and other things like going to cafes at nite including some calls on sify chennai office on Nation Call Rates, so will not mind spending few more Indian Rupees in Consumer Court.

    will update this space soon.
