    Hi ,

    I am new to sify broadband .Just got a connection 5 days back.Till yesterday it gave me very good speeds . I had not used the connection much ,Until When i decided to download a 100 mb file . It dlled without a problem ,but today it just stopped connecting .Shows me BB101 error .Right now i am using an alternate connection.My CTO will take his time to show up,till which time i have to suffer without BB .:crying:

    Some Details:

    /*When i try to login it says*/
    BB101 -Unable to reach the gateway.Pls click details to identify the problem.

    /*After clicking on Details*/
    Checking user computer
    statusk

    Checking local cable network
    Unable to reach gateway.Pls click help for easy troubleshooting

    "Help" wasn't very useful....

    ->Rebooting the computer multiple times did not solve the problem
    ->Removing and reinserting the cable connector jack did not solve the problem
    ->Tried Pinging the gateway ..It failed..100%loss ..none recieved.
    ->My LAN cable (100Mbps) is connected .

    My network card info

    My Connection

    i don't know about sify hardware
    but the problem is with the tcpic settings
    go to -lan properties - tcp/ip properties - make sure the default gateway is same as your modem ip.

    Thanks for the reply...The problem was solved after my CTO decided to finally switch on his mobile and attend my call...Seems to have been some error at his end...Not sure what he did but he got it working within an hour of attending my call...

    BB101 is a local network problem and not with your computer if this problem comes up first you can call your provider but if your provider is unable to resolve this then call sify care...
    this is a known problem with sify which keeps on coming back after every few days

    Yeah your right ....BB101 seems to be an error originating from CTO ...
