    Excellent !...nearly half a month of stable connection ... superb speeds

    Yesterday was a public holiday ...So what does Sify [main office] do ?

    Switch of the server [connecting all customers to the net] ...
    What does my CTO do ?
    Switch of his cell phone ....

    Result .... no internet connection and nobody to solve the problem for the whole day

    And i was thinking i was paying for a whole month of internet connection

    so finally there is a problem with sify connection and no service.
    I already said in my previous post that you just need to wait for few days only and it will show its true colours

    sify kae ghar derr hai andher nahi :lol:

    sify is the most BAKWASS connection in india ..................... no one use to hear problem of customer ............. wheather u contact to head of whole state ................ they even don't listen up to problem of custaomer ,and say to contact to local distributer

    i have sify for last 5 years ............ but even though they don't listen up to customer . so ,now i mnove our to MTNL

    sify is bakwaas

    i asked the sify customer care can the sify cto shutdown the server.he said they wont do it,that meant they can do it.i assumed he didnt deny it.all he said was sify will lose customers if they shut down the server.call the sify cto office,never call them on their mobile phones.they never receive it.

    Oh! Good work ...... But the connection came on the next day and till today i have had uninterrupted connection ...... No problems with speed too .... So i assumed he had shut down the server ...
    Well anyway Sify CC may not be speaking the truth who knows?
    This month i have had a downtime of only one day .....Last month also it was only 2 days ...No problems with speed for 256kbps i get a download speed of around 30kBps......

    ok so the fairy tale ended

    i finally decided to change my isp for the following reasons

    -> For some reason Sify disabled online renewal for my area .....So i have to wait for the CTO to collect the fee every month and then deposit it in my account .... which takes about a week ..... so i had to go without internet for 3-4 days per month

    -> Downtimes started increasing .... especially during night time ..when usage is free

    -> At night time it logs you out after 5 hours of continuous usage .... they 'forgot' to mention this at the time of my buying

    so finally i am done with sify

    Default I would prefer to stay without internet than having Sify

    I just sent a request to close Sify after getting Hathway connected.

    I am already feeling a great peace of mind and freedom from banging my head against sify's worthless customer care every other day for the connectivity issues.

    Customer care wont pickup after 9 PM. When you get them, they will not give you ID for your complaint or they will give you wrong IDs. So that you will never be able to track your complaint. Every time you call is a new issue for sify.

    When it will come to providing you with the compensation packs for all the downtime you have had, the Customer care will either not respond atall or take the communication in such endless loops that you will feel frustrated and leave following up.

    Sify Collection agents will ring your bell even before your next renewal.

    Sify has also got all the rights to renew ANY package to you without bothering to ask or inform you.

    Thanks to sify for this kind of prompt and customer transparent service.
