can these sify people use ur id password and eat up ur MB'S.i am using 256 kbps happy hours which means i can use 150mb from 8.00am to 10.00pm and from then its free till 8.00am the next day.once, i used 120mb before 10.00pm.i checked my account usage before noon.then me thought its not wise to use it further so me logged out.the next day i see two days has been deducted from the the calender month of usage.now,i didnt get it.when i checked my account i see 77mb has been used after i logged out.now i dont think m a bloody fool.the usage already reached 120mb before noon the previous day so why will i use it any further that day.perhaps sify thinks m donnie darko:alien:,travelled to a parallel world and used the 77mb.this never happened before and i dont think i used more than 150mb.but can they do it.i changed my password yet i think its not gonna help.they have administrative rights.they never did this before.

I am under the same plan & had faced similar situations long back. After calling up Sify CC I was told that the limit has been reduced to 100 mb/ day (8:00 am to 10:00 PM). So maybe that's also the case with you. Though I must admit that I was not given any prior notice from Sify of such change.

I can only advise you to call up the Sify CC and do some Hard Talk (if not yelling) and they might reimburse the one day back to you.

how can it be 100mb.i have been using this for quite sometime now.this never happened before.u didnt understand what i meant.someone used my mb's.as i mentioned before i didnt log in once the usage reached 120mb then how come 77mb was added to my account usage list.besides this something else has developed.sify is cheating all its customers.it uses mb's even when u dont open a page.and it uses mb's as if u were downloading a program.usually packets r transferred more when u open a website or when u download a program,but with sify this aint the scenario now.i noticed this when i just enabled the LAN.this is ridiculous.i was surfing this site for almost 2 hrs and u know how many mb's it mentioned in the account usage,a ridiculous 48mb .can u believe this.the customer care is okay.they called me but me was not around that time.i already called them and lodged a complaint.the second development compelled me to call then again.

Sify screws you righ left and center... they can do whatever they like and when ever they like... its us who are going to suffer.

I got a tata wimax connection today and if it stays stable I will get rid of sify once and for all

but they dont provide wimax everywhere in india.what does it mean.what is wimax.its found only in selected cities.they dont provide it everywhere even in the main city.does tata provide wimax connection everywhere.i heard tata lan is also **** like sify.is wimax wireless connection.

In Delhi tata wimax is available and I just got it today ... I got a 512kbps unlimited connection and I am getting a speed of 512kbps+ I dont know about tommorow but so far soo good.

I will post an extensive ongoing review in the tata wimax section.

Well yes, its the Local cable/Sify operators who do so.
Since i myself m a witness for such a thing,since they have a custom database where they will have the User Id and the password which is not in encrypted from, so they are free to use the user id's and passwords as lavishly as they can.Well another thing is since TRAI has enforced as serious measures upon private players like SIFY,RELIANCE,AIRTEL,.., they might have reduced the day usage, i wish you get updates from a Sify CC [customer care] agent.

sify is like hell, its not working from last about 2 weeks, i never used any limited plan on sify but i know sify can play with your happiness like this coz when i was not getting more than 200kbps speed on my 512kbps plan at that time too sify was telling me that last nite you downloaded more than 800Mb data which is not possible at 200kbps
but in realy terms i was not able to gain more than 200kbps. after a long time when sify accepted that speed which i am getting is very slow then they said that they dont provide any refund for slowness issues as i was atlease able to connect
