Thread: Is Sify broadband not available in Lucknow anymore?

Hi,

I had gotten the Sify Broadband connection last year in Oct, '07 in Lucknow (paid Rs 1500 for installation). I used it for 3 months and was paying 800 Rs per month, for unlimited internet.

Now I'd like to renew my account, but all the numbers I have tried for Sify in Lucknow seem to be out of service. On one landline number that I did manage to get through, the guy told me that Sify has changed some partnership, so I might have to get it installed all over again (even though its still all installed at home, I just need to pay the monthly amount).

I dont get it, should I simply opt for Airtel broadband? or try getting my Sify account renewed anyway? Please suggest! I need internet asap.

If you have airtel broadband available in your area then there is nothing better then that.

For sify it may be possible that who ever your local sify cable operator was has either sold his business or just stopped working with sify and some one else is providing sify cable service in your area... You can ask around you and find out where is your local cable operators office and get them to set up your connection again. I dont think they should charge you any set up fee again as youve got the cables running to your home already.

if u have airtel broadband in ur area then u can choose this service blindly..
airtel is by ar the best isp in india..
dn't get in this sify trap...as sify people r just like theives..
take airtel and enjoy surfing..!!
