I got a bad taste of Sify in march 2004, when one of their sales executive came to my house. He made two promises while selling sify and those were good speeds(256 kbps) and 24*7 connectivity, this package had a validity of an year and download of 2gb whichever was earlier. He even took Rs1200 (Rs 100/- per month) as maintenance charges plus Rs 1000/- as installation charges.

Even after charging so much money I have not been able to use sify with any piece of mind. First of all as to this date I never got the speed of 256 kbps ever. Secondly the connectivity has always been an problem and in the past four months twice I have been without net for at least a week and to on top of that when I threatened to go to the consumer court I get the reply for customer care that please go ahead and lodge a complaint.

I am thoroughly disgusted with the service and will be switching probably to hathway this month.
