I’ve been using Sify Broadband for the past 8 months. Its very good, I have absolutely no problems with it. I use the Unlimited Package as I’m a power user.

I get a constant transfer rate of 8kbps, very rarely goes below that, and that happens only coz the particular server is slow, from other sites it downloads at full speed! Once in a blue moon, for abt 2hrs or so, I get a constant download rate of...hold ur breath.....180KBPS!!!!!!! And all this for just 600 bucks a month! This connection is a life saver for me! I NEVER switch off my machine!

Occasionaly, due to software installations I just reboot. Its been running constantly for the past 2yrs. And since Sify has UPS backup, im constantly connected. My UPS gives 8hrs backup incidentally. Now since I have a permanent connection, I do many things, listen to music from LaunchCast (absolutely no interruptions), operate a web and pop3 mail server, download large files like game demos, trailers, software, etc. 30mb files take abt 1hr without download managers, 45 minutes with a download accelerator.

Though when I get lightning speeds of 180kbps, the same file takes about 1 or 2 minutes! I play multiplayer games extensively, till date I’ve never faced any hassles in anything! Warcraft, Diablo, NFS, Ragnarok, and UT 2004 are some of my regular favourites!

I paid 2000 bucks for installation and activation, and monthly I pay 600 bucks. They gave me the connection in 3 days flat! Till now I’ve had no problems with Sify Broadband!!

Based on my experience, I would highly reccomend it!
