Thread: Wanna buy Skoda? Prepare to change your mind!!

Apparently this is going on for a really long time. I feel this needs to be heard properly:
One just needs to look at these few threads (out of the many) for various issues w.r.t Skoda -- the company & the cars:

Apparently a friend of mine had the issue and luckily he had a pretty good mechanic with him who immidiately found that the replacement parts were sub standard and one of the tyre brand was changed. This Indian car forum is known for being really responsive and active and it seemed that Skoda, India didnt like it. People who are buying cars and/or giving for after sales- beware.

ya i know about this... in india everything's ok..

Well there are people who say In India everything is Ok and pass the buck but there are people who make a way and get things done the way its supposed to be. Consumers let bad customer service go by and because of which not even small time sellers but also big time retailers take people for a ride. In a way, consumers are pretty much responsible as well- which is also one of the reasons why people in this country is messed up and blame politicans for everything. I have a reason to believe that people who dont have much respect in what they earn dont usually see what they buy and they are the ones who get swindled.

well if anything of this sort would happen to me, it would be the company who would be taken for a ride, not me !
actually i also came across a similar issue with honda too on the community...and that too with the civic.
anyways i'm presently not in the position of buying stuff like that for now... but the companies better watch out for me in the near future !!

i too have heard issues with skoda.. in india seems like no matter how much you pay, you never get your moneys worth. which is sad
