    Default Skoda Yeti

Skoda launched there international bestseller SUV Yeti's model range in India at the 10th Auto Expo 2010! Yeti is expected to be out in market somewhere in the first quarter of 2010. It will be launched in the price range of 10 lacs - 12 lacs. Actually Skoda's plan is to launch Yeti with a highly competitive price tag to compete other cars in the segment i.e. Scorpio, Safari, Grand Vitara etc. Yeti will close the gap between Fabia and Octavia in terms of Skoda's portfolio in India.

Skoda is not a 100% SUV, its a kind of crossover vehicle, a model somewhere between a normal car & a SUV but according to the company, Yeti meets the needs for environmental care, luggage space & safety norms.

Skoda Yeti borrows features from Skoda Roomster and VW's Tiguan SUV. Yeti is said to have the transmission & brakes of Roomster and the suspension of the Skoda Fabia.

Skoda plans to launch petrol & diesel model of Yeti with 1.6 Lt to 2.0 lt of petrol engines and 1.9 lt turbodiesel engine.

The car will be assembled at company's Aurangabad plant.

Yeti is nice car! & Skoda has very good reputation for build quality, their diesel engines are superb! (Economical as well as powerful), Ride & Handling is also class leading.

No doubt about the quality of skoda cars but spares cost a fortune and the amount they charge to install things is just insane. I had to get a window glass replaced last week and the installation charges were more then the glass itself and they didint do it the same day either and I had to go back next day as they don't entertain without an appointment and that sucks when you have a broken glass in the delhi heat.
