Default When Bit Torrent was blocking my net port..

Shocking, but true...

i downloaded bit torent to download some softwares quicklyy, but to my surprise i got my net port blocked, and even if i didnt run the bit torrent my ie and ff blocked my access to sites while the net was on....
i saw bit torrent showing "your port is blocked, yet you may download at a slower speed.."
just in the morning today i uninstalled bitty and its explorer from comp..and everything was ok again....
how can it be so??

Strange. Had u enabled encryption in the torrent client? If enabled the data gets camouflaged and the ISP cannot track the transfer. BTW which is your ISP?

Can u specify the port which was used in the torrent client? Did it lie in between 6881-6999 ?

A Torrent client cannot block ports by itself...must be some problem with ur ISP.
First time ur using torrent ? Choose a higher port number now.

Lol mate. Its easy to find out the port details. I will outline the steps to find the port in utorrent (with the assumption u used it)

Options-->Speed Guide. Look at the current port tab and lo! u will find the current port being used for torrenting purposes.
