Thread: Windows XP SP3

HI everyone..............
i have came back to windows xp updated it but sp3 update didnt came!Why?

and doess sp3 chages the theme or its like the old one sp2......
or does it changes the taskbar....
Plz Help!!!!!!


By the way there was a problem with my internet connection so i was not there for many days.........

SP3 is just a collection of patches ever released after SP2. No theme changes have been incorporated in the SP3. No changes in the taskbar either. It will just make your PC more safer and secure.

But i have seen in images that the taskbar becomes black

yes, it is because some people use customization packs to alter the look of Windows XP. One of the commonly used pack is Vista Transformation Pack. u can checkout the same in Windows X's Live - The ultimate Vista experiences

i think you have installed some modified windows xp versions available on the internet. thats why the theme change and that is also the reason why you are not able to see sp3 ... many modified sp2 win xp are claimed to be having sp3 inbuilt. i would recommend you installing the original microsoft windows xp with in-built sp3.

Well genuine windows xp sp2 doesnt feature black taskbars !!

I always prefer the un changed version of XP. And if do want any themes I install it after installing windows.

Never trust those modded SUPERFAST xp's on net.

some of those modded versions are not bad actually. but you need to pick the right drop from the ocean. that's often not possible for everyone.
