Recuva (Recuva - Undelete, Unerase, File Recovery - Home) is a freeware Windows utility to restore files that have been accidentally deleted from your computer. This includes files emptied from the Recycle bin as well as images and other files that have been deleted by user error from digital camera memory cards or MP3 players. It will even bring back files that have been deleted by bugs, crashes and viruses!
Its free for both personal and commercial use.
However, it won't work all the time. If Windows has overwritten the area where the file used to be, or if the file is too corrupted to recover, then this software would not be of any use.
Its from piriform, the same people that has also created CCleaner (CCleaner - Home), the registry and PC cleaning tool

i use this... recovered many stupidly deleted files till date

Thanks for posting it in here. This nifty tool has helped me recover some major documents deleted accidentally.
