Thread: Safari 4

Yes Safari is out, and Apple says its faster and better than the other browsers. The speed difference compromises of only of one second.
Although the the one second difference may not matter, what does with Safari 4 is the features that the browser has. Opera 4 is said to be 4 times faster than Firefox 3.
According to Apple statistics more than 11 million copies of Safari 4 have been downloaded so far, which includes the 6 millions figures for Windows download.
The new features of Safari 4 include its Nitro Javascript engine, the top sites page which shows the top 4 sites you have visited, full search history, cover flow, its also includes HTML 5 and the advanced CSS effects.

I personally think that it takes a time depending on a site itself, a browser does make a difference to some extent too.

Currently I am using Safari & Firefox both.
But still for me Firefox is little better than Safari.

Even i have got so used to Firefox, i dont really like any other browser, no matter how good it may be. I did try Chrome and Safari once, but did not like it...

i tried chrome when it was just lauched and had a hell lot of bugs so lost interest in that now. Now just sticking to firefox thats all and i am happy with it,

funny i didn't have any. which version did you try ? the developers version or the full release version.

Are you indeed talking about opera 4 or the current vesion 9.64/10 beta ?

I dont know may be the developer version, it was just been launched means didnt get that browser directly from net it was sent to me by one of my friend.. so you can guess it was not even popular at that time..

I am using chrome to post this. It is really fast. Better than or at least equal to firefox. Try a stable version. It thumbnails your frequently visited websites. I just click the thumbnail to log in. Also it can restore previously closed tabs, I simply restore from where I finished last day.

It is worth a try.
