Rep Power: 10  | Confirmed news is that Sony is providing FREE upgrade from Vista to Win 7 for its VAIO Notebooks/Desktops purchased in 2009. I have no idea about others. But I guess they will follow too. Yet to hear such kind of offer from Microsoft. |

Rep Power: 3 | just now gone through PC world, and it says HP and Lenovo will give free upgradation from vista home premium to windows 7. Why don't Dell follow them?  |

| its valid only for vista which were/are being sold with such an offer. ie not all vista's can be upgraded for free. M$ did announce such an offer, but i don't think its there in India. prolly it will be through OEM's / PC suppliers |

Rep Power: 10 | I'm sorry to hear that... But I guess Microsoft is providing upgrade to Win 7 from Vista at a discounted price... Read that article carefully... Its one time investment... But worth it! Vista is horrible... |
