K-Lite has its own player ..... I have too many installed in my sys ,dont want one more
why don't you do something about linux too...
fine if leo is preparing something for Windows then i will try to make a good thread for linux media players very soon![]()
for video i use VLC and for audio files i use VU player i bet nt a lot of u have tried itits awesome ..
never used VUplayer before, downloaded it just now. features look promising and it seems to be less memory hungry than winamp. will give u feedback.![]()
I have purged most of the media players from my system
Now i only have
WMP
GOM
Media player classic
installed
PS : New version of GOM player is available for download or an update if you have it already installed
Me too. I only have Totem Movie Player installed.![]()
I am using KM player and Gom player both (but basically KM player)
I use real player, but which is the best media player (dont know if i should open a new thread for it or not, as it is similar to this?)
Km player, Gom player or VLC media player is best
in Gom player you get more benefit that lots of option and features
but for me KM Player is best don't need to install it sound quality is superb & loud also quickly usable. But it all depends upon the user own choice for which is the best.
The best media player varies according to each individual's tastes ...thats y i did not start the thread as the best media plyer
ok, so what factors are taken into consideration to know which is the best one, i mean what options/advantages are their in the different media players?
-->Is it free or paid ?
-->How easy is it to access options/settings ....
-->Are there any themes available ?
Most importantly
-->Are all video/audio formats supported ?
thanks for the help Eddy!
some corrupted/ incomplete file can run in GOM/VLC/KM player like if you download few rar(extension) file of any movie and few files still remaining then if you extract at that incomplete moment then(the situtaion where few file still have to download ) the incomplete file can be run in GOM/VLC/KM player but it will not be run in Windows media player.
Another thing is only one software can run mp4,3gp to avi, rmvb, mov, flv file. Few codec are already install by this sotware (like MPEG-4 codec) and lots more feature is available. For which user can feel easy to operate the software (like 3D sound effect, changing aspect ration and others feature)
I use WMP11 for Audio files. And The KMPlayer for video files. KMP has excellent externel codec support.
VLC just about plays anything under the sun. Never looked back or sideways ever since.
I use three media players which are namely
-- real player
-- VLC
-- WMP 11
real player for my rmvb encodes and vlc or WMP for other videos though k-lite mega codec is already installed and without k-lite you are incomplete
I use a combo of VLC and Winamp..VLC for video files and Winamp for Audio files since audio file management in Winamp is better...and VLC and has not that much managing features for audio files.
VLC is good. But I just can get used to it.
I like Media players with....
1. Simple interface
2. Little Memory usage
3. Supports all kinds of media formats
The only one I found that matches this is GOM Player.
