Rep Power: 1 | I dont know much about operating systems, but i know that choosing the right and suitable operating system is important. So how can you define or know which is the better operating system Windows XP or Windows Vista? What are the features of both? What is the differences? How should you determine which operating system to choose? |

Rep Power: 6 | I haven't used Windows Vista enough to know all of it's features. So in my opinion, it's no where near as good as Windows XP. Sure the memory management, installation and some of the features are better and easier than Windows XP. Or maybe it's because Windows Vista is better and it is because I am used to Windows XP. But it's still not worth the effort. Compared to Windows Vista, Windows XP is a classic yet advanced operating system which can be easily customized to your liking if you know how. And Windows Vista has many unneeded feature which is really hard to disable. What are the features of both? I don't remember most of the features in Windows Vista. But Windows Vista has lots of new features compared to Windows XP but most of them are not needed for majority of the users and consumes lots of memory to run. Or there are alternative 3rd party tools available which are way better and consumes less amount of memory. What is the differences? Main difference I noticed in Windows Vista is that applications start faster or gives the feeling that they does. Most used programs or services in Windows XP are even easier to use in Windows Vista. In Windows XP, every options related to a program can be configured from the same menu. And in Windows Vista you will need to find each option from a different menu. How should you determine which operating system to choose? ● Stability ● Easy to use ● Customizability ● User-friendly interface ● Support for most 3rd party Hardware, Software & Games ● Low resource usage (RAM memory, Hard Disk space, Processor, Graphics etc) Last edited by Archer; 07-22-09 at 11:09 PM. |

| Already discussed here http://www.indiabroadband.net/window...-xp-vista.html (XP or Vista?) At the moment, I found nothing in Vista or Windows 7 to leave XP. I switched to XP from 2000 because it automatically detect USB. Last edited by meetdilip; 07-23-09 at 10:11 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |
