Thanks for sharing. But is updating the driver really necessary when the old one is working fine? I mean, why touch something that is running smoothly.

I think it is for use when your driver is not working in windows.

PS: Also in linux by having latest graphics driver I get most out my devices like inbuilt graphic cards as I get software rendering of things like vertex shader which my graphic card does not support hardware wise but I get them by software .Also latest drivers increase my FPS( frame rate per second count). I think similarly in windows you might get better performance.

your Rep power will increase by 1 for every 100 repo points u receive. (sum of repo powers of the members who give the repo)

Is driver magician freeware? I mean does it search and install drivers as well, Because driver detective only searches for driver and for making driver detective to install driver it demands MONEY.

Not sure about driver magician, but driver agent is free. I detect the errenous drivers and offer free and paid downloads.

What does that mean?

Most of the drivers are free, but some require payment.

Drivers are usually free from manufacturer websites. Even DriverGuide.com gives them for free.

Yes but not always those which are provided by 3rd party.
