pls anybody know how to compress the file in small size. i download a file which is 5mb consists of vista and office. how it possible .pls tell me and share me

My prediction, this file contains nothing except a cool virus! Talking of compression, even if it is possible to compress hugely, its simply impossible according to me to compress to a .001 ratio. Moreover, as the compression ratio decreases, the time required to compress increases exponentially! So even if what you want to do is possible it will take 2-3 days to achieve it!

@mod copyright voilation is there in that link as it is pirated windows link though it might be fake.

Have you bothered to read the rules, have you even bothered to see what others are saying. I am saying its not possible! Luke is saying you've broken the rules. Can you read or do you just type to increase post count?

Try using winrar. In linux you can uncompress it easily. Since it is rar file try winrar. I am getting the iso image of 700+mb by simply uncompressing it.

Even if its possible to compress to such a ratio, its going to take a hell lot of time...
As I understand even the file you mention is a 700mb iso, and not 4gb file. Some windows disks can be highly compressed, try decompressing that image in a Linux Machine, tell me does it work? Even I came across an image of 7mb claiming to be vista, was not.
Have you tried installing from the disk, I bet it won't work. It will say some file error! Try this: Fill a text file with 0s infinitely to a huge size, and then compress it. You'll get a very small file. The file you are talking about should be one such file!

iam not understanding clearly, it is iso file, it works and see ms office is also there, what are u saying in text file

I was wondering about the same thing. I downloaded a game .iso file and and all in one Windows .iso in zip format from a private tracker (private trackers deletes fake files). I only downloaded it to test the file because each of the files was less than 10 MB in size and also because of the good comments from the members who tried it.

The uncompressed files had a size of more than 2 GB. And it only took less than 3- 4 minutes (not more than 15 minutes I am sure) to decompress. I installed the game and it worked fine except some bugs which was solved after installing a patch. And I also installed Windows XP Professional SP3 from the other .iso without any problem and it boot up fine too. I removed the XP installation later because Avast detected a virus in it. I saw many such files, mostly game or operating system .iso which is even less than 1 MB in size.

I searched everywhere for a way to do than and the best I found was KGB Archiver which didn't even came close and also took hours to compress and decompress.

it contains office2007 and vista iso. i am also not believing first, but how they compressed it , its amazing and it also extract within minute

Second offense on the same thread, Man this guy is LAME! Please will someone make him understand what piracy is, and there are some thing called rules on this forum! He doesn't even want to read others post, he just wants a spoon fed answer about how to compress a 4gb file into 4mb( or was it 4kb?)

UHARC worked better than winrar for me so as 7z
I downloaded a casper_RW file for my portable OS which came in a 4 MB file and became 4GB exact after extraction , but it is possible due to the fact that the file contains only empty bytes so it is very easy to compress in to a ratio of 0.1% , but never had a chance to come across an tool which can squeeze ISO like windows or any game to that extent.

^^ you know only God know right now how much i am amazed.. but as you are speaking, so i have to believe..

i thought that wasnt possible..so this means, a 100mb file could be possibly converted to some minuet kbs?? is it?

I have downloaded the file for testing purpose out of curiosity and VistaDVD only contains series of 00's as expected.
