Windows 7 RC build 7100 which was released by Microsoft last year to test the performance as well as the usability, bugs of the OS, is scheduled to “start to expire” in a few days.
The exact date for this event is Feb. 15, 2010. People who are still using the OS’s RC should consider moving on to the RTM version of the OS or move back to a previous OS like vista to avoid functionality issues.
Starting from 15 of Feb., users will receive an expiration notification in the task bar, and also a notification wizard will pop up every one hour to remind the users to upgrade or remove the OS.
The actual complete expiration of the OS is slated for June 1, when it would cease operating and will show an activation screen stating that windows is not genuine. Also the OS will automatically restart every 2 hours.
