The latest series of Intel processors , namely Clarkdale, mark improvements of sorts. The single piece of wafer is CPU, GPU, PCI Express and memory controller. This is long expected convergence which not only makes the communication between the components real fast, but it also make the end product much cheaper in the long run, much like mobiles with all integrated features like camera, music player etc.
These CPU also include the features introduced in earlier version like turbo boost, which essentially kicking up the operating speed, when more CPU utilization is required.

The processor are of socket 1156, and run at FSB speeds of 900 MHz , with the GPUs running at the same speed, with a operating speed of 3.3 GHz under normal usage and at 3.6 GHz under turbo boost. It has the hyper-thread feature, so theoretically it has four cores.

The GPU feature is nothing but the GPGPU which enables the CPU to use a GPU to perform operation usually done by a CPU. All in all, this cpu seems to be a good choice for the average user, albeit that we would have to wait until the prices drop significantly.
