Default Symbian OS to be OpenSource

Symbian OS which is designed by Symbian foundation for mobile devices and smart phones is now Open Source, now its code base is available to public, this move have been taken after Nokia the leading mobile manufacturer bought Symbian.

This move have been taken to make Symbian OS more unique and attractive to compete with its counterpart Android OS which is another open source available in market released by Google.

Android is widely used in United States and is gaining the momentum further more, while Motorola has seriously committed to use Android.

While Sysbian claims that they are on advantage, since Google launched Nexus One and to heavily back it they might have put off some phone makers and now they will look out for Symbian.

^^thats the game of big players, so now people will make more and more apps based on s60 platform of which Nokia is owner.. smart game nokia.. but nokia must not forget that with the advent of android based and other O.Ses and because s60 phones have a limited enterprise level scope the field is narrow.. but still its a major action taken by Nokia and will bring more and more apps makers to build softwares games etc for nokia s60...
