Default Mozilla Addons with trojans found

Mozilla has warned that two the experimental add ons found in its extensions page were found to contain trojan. Now they have been removed.

Accoding to mozilla all add ons submitted to it are scanned for any malicious content before being posted on its website. However the add ons in question - Sothink Web Video Downloader v4 and Master Filer (all versions) had trojans in them.

Installing either of these add ons caused the host system to be infected by an trojan, which would not be removed by just removing the add ons.

The problem apparently was caused because the previously existing malware checkers were insufficient and the trojans were detected only after the addition of 2 other anti-malware.

The infection would be detected by major anti-viruses such as avast, AVG, G-DATA, McAfee etc.
